GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

Confident AI

Confident AI describes a managed AI evaluation and observability platform for datasets, experiments, monitoring and collaboration.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

Where it fits

Evaluate the handoff between a production trace, a regression case and a release decision. The useful unit is a reproducible failure with an accountable owner—not a dashboard average.

The decision to make

Separate the managed collaboration platform from the open-source DeepEval and DeepTeam frameworks. Shared ownership and integration do not make deployment, retention or entitlement identical. Decide how a production trace becomes a reviewed dataset row, and how an annotation is authorized to alter the rubric used for a release gate.

What this record does not establish

The managed platform is a distinct operating product, not a duplicate of the existing DeepEval profile. No advertised monitoring speed, judge accuracy, compliance or universal on-premise feature parity is independently established.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

Open the evaluation playbook ↗
A

A test worth running

Connect a synthetic trace to a dataset case and an experiment comparing baseline and candidate outputs. Have a domain reviewer amend one expected outcome, then inspect the retained earlier run. Demonstrate which permission allows viewing a trace, changing a label and promoting a prompt.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A trace-to-dataset-to-experiment history with label versions.
  2. A role-specific demonstration of view, annotate and promote responsibilities.

THE OPERATING DETAIL

From an observed failure to a release decision.

GovernAtlas analysis: practical review considerations, not findings from a product test.

Choose the boundary first

Decide whether you are evaluating the managed platform, an open-source framework or both. Write down which team owns collection, annotation and release approval. A demonstration using a framework does not settle the hosted platform’s access controls, retention, export or commercial entitlement. Request those answers for the actual service and plan being considered.

Make the regression case portable

Use a fictional support request that retrieves the wrong policy version. Retain the input, retrieved context, model configuration, expected behavior and reviewer rationale as separate fields. Ask a second reviewer to reconstruct the failure without relying on the person who created it. If a trace becomes a dataset case, check what sensitive content would travel with that conversion before using real production traffic.

Challenge the release gate

Change one reference answer and one application setting independently. Compare the resulting cases rather than accepting an improved aggregate. Ask how a disputed judgment affects a release gate, who can override it and how the earlier result remains interpretable. Keep the approval record outside any automatically generated recommendation until your own process explicitly authorizes that recommendation to decide.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide a trace-to-dataset-to-experiment history with label versions for the selected configuration?

02

Can you provide a role-specific demonstration of view, annotate and promote responsibilities for the selected configuration?

03

Which exact version, entitlements, data paths and responsible roles apply?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

These labels describe this dossier’s current evidence coverage. A published mention may be a framework mapping, a qualified assertion or a limitation; it is not a compliance finding.

For HIPAA-regulated use, request service-specific BAA eligibility, processing scope and responsibility details. Missing evidence here does not establish noncompliance. Payment cannot alter these evidence labels.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL
