Credo AI Governance Platform

Credo AI describes a platform for AI inventories, risk assessment, governance workflows and policy mapping.

THE DOCUMENTED SCOPE

What the current evidence describes.

Source-attributed capabilities and limits. Inspect the full record before drawing a conclusion.

vendor asserted

Credo AI's self-hosted documentation describes private-cloud deployment using a Replicated installer targeting Kubernetes clusters or a virtual machine. Scope: the documented self-hosted option; this does not establish the availability or regions of other deployment models.

vendor asserted

Credo AI presents policy packs and controls mapped to the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001 and SOC 2. Scope: vendor-described governance content. Framework mapping is not certification or a finding that a customer meets those requirements.

On its product page, Credo AI describes AI use-case, model and vendor registries, shadow-AI discovery, risk scoring, and governance workflows with approvals. Scope: vendor-described platform capabilities; performance has not been independently tested.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Start with the relationship between a use case, its models and its supplier. A registry entry becomes useful when a change to one of those objects reaches the people accountable for the resulting decision. Evaluate policy mapping as a working review process, with evidence and exceptions, rather than as a count of frameworks named in a demonstration.

What this record does not establish

The published evidence supports vendor-described registries, workflows and a self-hosted deployment path. It does not establish effective controls in your environment or prove that policy mappings satisfy a legal requirement.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

Open the evaluation playbook ↗
A

A test worth running

Use a sanitized purchased-AI use case with two model versions. Request a review, raise an issue, replace the evidence and ask a second reviewer to reconstruct which version was approved. If considering the documented self-hosted option, run the same scenario in the architecture your team would operate.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. Export the use-case, model and vendor relationships with stable identifiers and the evidence version used for approval.
  2. Identify who owns upgrades, recovery, connector failures and evidence retention in the deployment being quoted.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Which deployment model, hosting region and contractual controls fit your organization?

02

Which governance capabilities are generally available rather than in research preview?

03

Can the organization provide the current SOC 2 report, auditor and reporting period?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL
