GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

DeepTeam

The DeepTeam project documents an open-source red-teaming framework for LLM systems, built on DeepEval, with simulated attacks and evaluator-based assessments.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Choose the authorized target and the property being tested before generating attacks. A framework built on DeepEval can use model judges and external model services; local orchestration does not mean all data or inference stays local. Retain attack configuration and evaluator reasoning so a reported failure can be investigated at the actual application boundary.

What this record does not establish

DeepTeam is a distinct red-teaming framework built on DeepEval, not another managed Confident AI license. A binary judge score does not establish exploit completeness, prevention or legal compliance. No attacks were executed for this profile.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

In an authorized synthetic assistant with a mock tool, pair one prohibited-action case with an allowed task. Review the target response, mock action and evaluator rationale separately. Re-run with one judge setting changed and preserve both assessments as a calibration exercise.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. An authorized target map, framework version and model-service data path.
  2. An attack/action/judgment record plus a benign control and retest rationale.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide an authorized target map, framework version and model-service data path for the selected configuration?

02

Can you provide an attack/action/judgment record plus a benign control and retest rationale for the selected configuration?

03

Which exact version, entitlements, data paths and responsible roles apply?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
