GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

Drata

Drata documents an Evidence Library for storing control evidence, mapping it across controls and maintaining evidence history. Interface-specific behavior must be checked against the selected experience.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Evaluate how evidence reuse preserves context. A single artifact may be relevant to more than one control, but its reporting period, owner and limitations should remain visible wherever it is used. Interface-specific behavior matters when your team must operate the workflow repeatedly.

What this record does not establish

The captured evidence help article describes storage, control mapping and history. It does not establish audit sufficiency, effectiveness of a mapped control or equivalent behavior in every interface experience.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

Upload or collect a sanitized artifact, map it to two controls and replace it with a revised version. Ask a reviewer to inspect the original and current evidence, identify the applicable period and explain which control conclusions require another review.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. Reconstruct which version of an artifact supported a prior review after the current version is replaced.
  2. Verify the quoted interface and workflow with ordinary control-owner and reviewer accounts.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

How are collected artifacts linked to controls, reviewers and the period under assessment?

02

What deployment, retention and access-control evidence supports the intended use?

03

What underlying assurance documents are available, and which claims remain unverified?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL
