GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

HoneyHive

HoneyHive describes agent tracing, online evaluations, experiments, datasets, annotation queues and prompt management. Its site distinguishes SaaS, hybrid and self-hosted operating models and describes exporting telemetry and evaluation records.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Evaluate the full path from a production incident to a reviewed test case. A shared observability and evaluation platform should make ownership and evidence clearer rather than merely collect more traces. Identify which experts may label a failure and which release owner decides whether the proposed correction is sufficient.

What this record does not establish

Deployment labels on a product page do not establish that sensitive content stays within your boundary. Verify evaluator calls, control-plane metadata, export permissions and actual deployment responsibilities. Illustrated dashboard results and customer outcomes are not independent performance evidence.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

Open the evaluation playbook ↗
A

A test worth running

Propose a multi-step agent run with one incorrect tool action. Convert it into a dataset case, add a human label, compare a revision and export the item-level result. Include an evaluator error and confirm it remains distinguishable from a low score. Review data flow separately for the proposed SaaS or hybrid configuration.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A trace-to-dataset-to-experiment chain, including evaluator failures and human labels.
  2. A deployment-specific data-flow diagram and successfully inspected export.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

01
vendor asserted

HoneyHive's pricing FAQ asserts HIPAA, GDPR and SOC 2 Type II compliance and says data is encrypted at rest and in transit. These are vendor assertions; GovernAtlas has not reviewed an assurance report or tested the controls.

02
vendor asserted

HoneyHive lists a custom DPA and BAA among its Enterprise offerings and describes optional self-hosted, hybrid and single-tenant deployment. Scope: supplier-documented commercial options, not an executed healthcare agreement or a determination that a deployment meets HIPAA.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

A trace-to-dataset-to-experiment chain, including evaluator failures and human labels. Can this be demonstrated in the selected environment?

02

A deployment-specific data-flow diagram and successfully inspected export. Who owns and signs off this evidence?

03

Which version, deployment and commercial entitlement are included in the proposed configuration?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
