GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

IBM OpenPages

IBM describes OpenPages as a modular GRC platform covering risk, compliance and audit, with configurable workflows, reporting and enterprise integrations.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Select the risk and audit modules, deployment arrangement and upgrade owner before assessing an integrated workflow. A separate watsonx.governance listing does not mean identical data models or entitlements. Define the evidence record that connects a control test to its responsible business decision.

What this record does not establish

OpenPages is distinct from watsonx.governance already listed. Cloud and on-premises deployment choices do not establish module parity or identical upgrade responsibilities.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

Configure a fictional control test with a failed result, an exception and two reviewer roles. Demonstrate who may change the status and how that change appears in the history. Export the risk-control relationships and supporting artifacts, and inspect a recovery path when the normal workspace is unavailable.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A module/deployment responsibility matrix and role-separation demonstration.
  2. An exported failed test, exception decision and unmodified history.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

A module/deployment responsibility matrix and role-separation demonstration. Can this be demonstrated and exported in the selected configuration?

02

An exported failed test, exception decision and unmodified history. Can this be demonstrated and exported in the selected configuration?

03

What roles, modules, version and retained-copy boundaries apply at exit?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL
