THE DOCUMENTED SCOPE

What the current evidence describes.

Source-attributed capabilities and limits. Inspect the full record before drawing a conclusion.

vendor asserted

IBM's AWS-service documentation describes Model Risk Governance processes for risk assessment and adherence to corporate and regulatory policies, including EU AI Act assessment. Scope: vendor-described governance functionality, not a determination that the product or customer complies with the Act.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Define the governance workflow and deployment configuration before comparing the product name. Your evaluation should connect an AI use case to its risks, controls, policies and monitoring evidence without assuming every service region or model type supports the same configuration. The buying unit is the workflow your team can run in the quoted environment.

What this record does not establish

Published vendor descriptions do not establish capability parity across regions, configurations or licenses. The documented AWS service is not evidence that all deployment options share the same controls.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

Use one model change with an outstanding risk. Follow onboarding, evidence submission, review and monitoring in the proposed region and service configuration. Then ask an operator to export the relationships and show what happens when a monitoring result challenges the previous decision.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. Match the demonstration to a dated service specification, region and license line item.
  2. Preserve the relationship between a changed model, its previous approval and the monitoring evidence that triggered review.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Which service region and model configuration support the functions you need?

02

Which current release and licensing model would you buy?

03

Which attestations, if any, expressly cover that service and region?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL
