GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

Langtail

Langtail describes collaborative prompt management, testing, model experimentation and prompt deployment.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Treat prompt publication as a configuration change with downstream dependencies. A spreadsheet-like test view helps reviewers compare outputs, but the deployed prompt identity, model settings and evaluation rubric must travel together. Keep content filtering and the separately advertised firewall behavior distinct from an offline prompt result.

What this record does not establish

Prompt-management and testing descriptions do not establish attack prevention, universal provider compatibility or unchanged self-hosted entitlement. Firewall efficacy is not independently verified.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

Compare two fictional classification prompts on the same cases, including one ambiguous input. Inspect natural-language and deterministic judgments separately, deploy only to an authorized test endpoint, then restore the prior prompt and verify which version handled each request.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A prompt/model/rubric version manifest and rollback record.
  2. An ambiguous case with both evaluation rationale and actual served version.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide a prompt/model/rubric version manifest and rollback record for the selected configuration?

02

Can you provide an ambiguous case with both evaluation rationale and actual served version for the selected configuration?

03

Which exact version, entitlements, data paths and responsible roles apply?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL

A dossier should stand up to scrutiny.
