GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

Lightup

Lightup describes pushdown-query architecture and AI anomaly detection for data observability. Its product navigation explicitly labels Agent and Genie as beta; these labels do not establish general availability, contractual support or independently measured warehouse cost.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Use the trial to test whether warehouse-side monitoring fits your cost, permission and operating constraints. Pushdown execution still consumes resources somewhere. Establish a baseline for warehouse spend and scheduling before adding checks, and decide whether agent-driven configuration belongs in the production operating process or in a supervised experiment.

What this record does not establish

The captured page describes pushdown queries and anomaly detection; its navigation labels Agent and Genie beta. A beta interface is not evidence of general availability or a support commitment. Claims about flat costs, automatic detection or unchanged data movement require architecture-specific verification.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

In a proposed evaluation, monitor one large fact table and a small but critical reference table. Introduce a segment-specific defect that is invisible in the overall average, then compare sliced and aggregate signals. Record the queries executed, warehouse concurrency, detection delay and the steps required to review a generated monitoring change.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A query-level workload record with before-and-after resource use, permissions and monitoring cadence.
  2. Evidence that a segment-specific incident is visible, plus explicit beta limitations and a review path for agent-proposed changes.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Which sources and quality checks are supported in the intended environment, and how are failed scans surfaced?

02

Can a controlled failure be traced to its source, version, owner and reviewed resolution?

03

Which access, retention, export and deletion evidence applies to the proposed environment?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
