GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

Metomic

Metomic describes an MCP Gateway, inference hooks, shadow-AI discovery and sensitive-data control workflows, including allow, redact, hold-for-approval and block decisions. These are separate integration paths; universal interception and efficacy are not independently established.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Choose the path you need to govern before assuming one control covers every interaction. Agent-to-tool MCP traffic, direct model calls and employees using a browser AI tool may need different integrations. Map the path and identity, and identify what can happen outside the proposed control point.

What this record does not establish

The page’s universal coverage, latency and retention language is vendor-described, not independently established. Confirm supported clients, hook deployment, unknown-tool handling, stored findings/content and outage behaviour. A displayed gateway decision is not proof that the downstream action was prevented.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

In a proposed trial, send a synthetic marker through an MCP tool call and separately through the intended direct-model path. Compare allowed, redacted and held-for-review outcomes, then inspect the destination and audit reference. Test a permitted request that resembles a sensitive one so a false positive can be challenged.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A path-specific request/decision/destination comparison with a benign counterexample.
  2. An integration/retention responsibility map and uncovered-path exception record.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide a path-specific request/decision/destination comparison with a benign counterexample for the selected configuration?

02

An integration/retention responsibility map and uncovered-path exception record. Who owns and reviews this evidence?

03

Which current version, edition, integrations and operating responsibilities are included?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
