A test worth running

Use a fictional assistant with a mock read-only tool and a synthetic restricted value. Compare an allowed task with a boundary-crossing attempt, then disable one observation feed. Inspect the action trace and whether the missing evidence is reported as inconclusive rather than a clean result.

Bound the authorized exercise

Build an inventory of the fictional model endpoint, agent, mock tool and test identities included in the trial. Obtain authorization for the target and the permitted techniques. Record what the exercise excludes, especially external services and production data. A discovery result cannot establish that every asset or indirect dependency has been found.

Require a reproducible finding

For one controlled attack path, retain the starting permissions, relevant input, observed behavior and affected mock asset. Ask an engineer who did not conduct the exercise to reproduce the result in the same test boundary. Distinguish a proposed attack, a model response and an actual unauthorized action; those artifacts support different conclusions.

Close the loop with a retest

Assign an owner and acceptance condition before routing a finding into a ticket. Compare the original behavior with the proposed fix and an unaffected control case. Automated remediation suggestions still require review for functional regressions and changed permissions. Preserve unresolved scope and residual uncertainty rather than translating a closed ticket into a claim that the application is secure.
