Prisma AIRS AI Gateway

Portkey documentation now labels the offering Prisma AIRS AI Gateway and describes a unified model interface with observability, gateway and guardrail workflows. Its managed service and open-source gateway are distinct operating scopes.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Choose the gateway boundary before comparing model counts. A centrally operated gateway holds provider access and routing policy for multiple applications; a library used by one team has a different blast radius. Preserve the Portkey-to-Prisma naming transition in procurement and integration records so an old SDK example is not mistaken for the current commercial contract.

What this record does not establish

The source contains legacy branding alongside the current name. No advertised latency, uptime, compliance or plan parity is independently verified. Obtain the current publisher, support, data-plane and feature matrix for the quoted deployment.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

In a proposed sandbox, force a rate limit, an upstream timeout and a partial stream. Reconcile each provider attempt with the caller-visible result and cost ledger. Change an application key limit and demonstrate a denied request. Repeat with telemetry unavailable, recording which controls remain effective and which evidence is missing.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A routing-policy and attempt ledger, including partial responses and disputed charges.
  2. A dated identity and deployment matrix connecting legacy SDKs to the contracted offering.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

A routing-policy and attempt ledger, including partial responses and disputed charges. Can this be demonstrated in the selected environment?

02

A dated identity and deployment matrix connecting legacy SDKs to the contracted offering. Who owns and signs off this evidence?

03

Which version, deployment and commercial entitlement are included in the proposed configuration?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
