Privado AI

Privado AI describes website and mobile-app audits using simulated consent actions and source-code scanning to identify personal-data flows. These are vendor descriptions; completeness, legal compliance and detection effectiveness are not independently verified.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Assess whether a discovered privacy flow can be traced to concrete evidence and a reviewable decision. Define a small ground-truth manifest before granting code or application access. Include a runtime flow, a dormant code path and a documented activity that is absent from the implementation. These cases test different kinds of evidence rather than treating every generated map entry as an observed event.

What this record does not establish

The reviewed page describes several scanning and assessment methods, each with different evidence limits. Static code evidence does not establish runtime transmission, and a simulated journey cannot establish all possible user paths. Vendor statements about compliance, complete visibility, certification or data handling need deployment-specific evidence rather than inference from the product description.

A

A test worth running

In a proposed sandbox, add a test tracking endpoint behind a consent choice, a mobile SDK path and a source-code call that never executes. Compare simulated journeys, code findings and document-derived assessment fields. Change one flow after the first scan and inspect the update, confidence, provenance and approval process. Ask a reviewer to correct a generated assessment and show whether the correction remains visible after regeneration.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A manifest-to-finding comparison distinguishing executed, statically inferred and document-derived flows, with explicit misses.
  2. A reviewed assessment history preserving source references, human corrections and unresolved changes after a rescan.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

Privado's public DPA describes processing on documented instructions, ties duration to the underlying agreement and references the EU's 2021/914 standard contractual clauses. This documents proposed contractual terms, not their execution, transfer adequacy or coverage of every service configuration.

Privado describes website/app privacy auditing against laws including GDPR and scanning mobile app files after updates. These are supplier-described discovery and monitoring functions; a scan result does not determine legal applicability, valid consent or complete compliance.

Privado AI describes populating data maps and assessments from documents, source-code integrations and third-party application APIs, with assessment routing to approvers. Automated assessment output is not an independent legal determination or evidence that every declared flow has been observed.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can a known data flow and a deliberately missed integration be distinguished in the scan results?

02

Which exact release, deployment and service responsibilities are included in the proposed configuration?

03

What evidence records the actual outcome, unresolved exceptions and accountable owner?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
