01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Ask what population the reported uncertainty refers to. A confidence interval depends on the test design and assumptions; it does not establish that every operational path was exercised. Keep test generation, evaluation, risk interpretation and any external certification process distinct, with a retained explanation of exclusions and sampling.

What this record does not establish

Vendor claims of statistical certainty, universal model coverage and certification acceleration are not independent findings. A partnership or generated evidence report does not confer certification on a customer system.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

Define a synthetic operating domain with one deliberately omitted condition. Inspect a generated test manifest, per-case results and uncertainty calculation, then ask the reviewer to state what cannot be inferred about the omitted condition. Change one model configuration and retain the previous evidence boundary.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A domain/test-generation/sampling manifest with excluded conditions.
  2. A result with uncertainty assumptions, case traces and a bounded interpretation.

THE OPERATING DETAIL

Challenge the test environment as well as the result.

GovernAtlas analysis: practical review considerations, not findings from a product test.

Define the operating domain

Describe a fictional agent’s allowed tools, state transitions and expected failures. Ask which parts of that domain the simulation represents and which it omits. Preserve the mapping from scenario to risk. Adding more generated cases should not conceal a missing interaction that matters to the intended deployment.

Ask what the interval covers

For a selected reported metric, request the sample, repeated-run procedure, assumptions and interval interpretation. Include one sparse scenario and inspect how it is presented. A confidence interval is meaningful only in relation to the sampling and estimation procedure; its presence does not establish comprehensive coverage.

Retain a challenged gate

Configure an authorized test workflow where one result is inconclusive. Inspect whether the downstream release process preserves that state, the underlying artifacts and the reviewer’s decision. Record what changes trigger a new evaluation. Keep an automated pass or fail separate from your organization’s permission to deploy.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide a domain/test-generation/sampling manifest with excluded conditions for the selected configuration?

02

Can you provide a result with uncertainty assumptions, case traces and a bounded interpretation for the selected configuration?

03

Which exact version, entitlements, data paths and responsible roles apply?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
