01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Select a specific policy-authoring or metadata task and identify the human approval needed before it affects operations. An assistant can draft a rule without establishing that it is correct or enforceable on every source. Keep generated content, approved content and actual runtime evidence as separate records.

What this record does not establish

The current versioned documentation is the evidence scope; older erwin releases and broader Data Management products are not assumed equivalent. No AI accuracy, complete lineage or universal enforcement is independently validated. Confirm licensing, migration, policy targets and administrator boundaries.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

In a proposed version 16 pilot, ask an assistant to help locate an asset and draft a narrowly scoped policy. Introduce an ambiguous tag, require a steward correction and inspect how the revised rule is activated in the intended environment. Compare a permitted and denied operation and preserve the policy version behind each.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. An assistant suggestion/steward correction/policy activation record.
  2. A versioned target-system operation comparison and migration/entitlement matrix.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide an assistant suggestion/steward correction/policy activation record for the selected configuration?

02

A versioned target-system operation comparison and migration/entitlement matrix. Who owns and reviews this evidence?

03

Which current version, edition, integrations and operating responsibilities are included?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.
