GOVERNATLAS / PRODUCT DOSSIER

Satori

Satori describes data discovery/classification, database-activity monitoring, centralized access control and just-in-time access. Its current site links to Commvault corporate/platform resources; contracting and exact deployment/module scope require confirmation.

01 / CONTEXT & SCOPE

Understand the proposition.
Define the boundary.

The decision to make

Evaluate the access path through which the policy operates. A central interface is useful only if your databases and application traffic participate in the intended enforcement design. Select the actual database, BI or API path, and identify who owns the native grants that remain outside that path.

What this record does not establish

No agentless deployment, universal coverage, performance or security result is independently validated. Corporate links are not proof that every capability is included in a Commvault contract. Confirm current publisher/support arrangements, supported integration mode, logging and failure behaviour.

02 / YOUR EVALUATION

Turn interest into a useful trial.

A

A test worth running

In a proposed pilot, run raw, masked and denied queries as a service identity, compare activity records and test a temporary grant. Repeat after revocation using a new session and an existing one. Check a deliberately unsupported path with the owner so a successful main-path demo cannot hide an uncovered route.

GovernAtlas editorial proposal. We have not performed this test.

B

Evidence to bring back

  1. A principal/query/masking/denial record with grant propagation and revocation evidence.
  2. A current integration/contract map and uncovered-path exception record.

03 / DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

Read the claim. Inspect the basis.

Each statement retains its classification and preserved source. A vendor assertion is not an independent test result.

04 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Better questions.
A clearer decision.

Resolve these with the provider and your own evaluation team.

01

Can you provide a principal/query/masking/denial record with grant propagation and revocation evidence for the selected configuration?

02

A current integration/contract map and uncovered-path exception record. Who owns and reviews this evidence?

03

Which current version, edition, integrations and operating responsibilities are included?

Regulatory applicability requires a separate, current determination. Inclusion is not certification.

KEEP THE RECORD USEFUL

A dossier should stand up to scrutiny.
